DID YOU KNOW THAT THE APOLLO JETBOAT WAS
ONE OF THE HOTTEST HULLS OF 1974? The Apollo boats were constructed by Neal Clark &
Jim Youngblood of Triple C Enterprises Cabot, AR
with the S/N prefix of TPC

	One of Earl Smith's early rides was an Apollo with a Jacuzzi Pump.
Earl then ran one of Jim Youngblood's new boats with the name of Squat & Squirt. Look at these guys.... Making History! Earl Smith and Jack Seastrum!
	Here is another interesting picture for the books! Bodie Council driving his Apollo boat by the name of "Sunkist"! If you remember history, it was Bodie that later licensed the Apollo boat molds from Triple C Industries and moved them to Tennessee. He then built and marketed the hull under the name of "Sunkisst"!
Now this is COOL! Jim Youngblood driving the Apollo "Bass Boat" with an Injected big Block Chevy and Jacuzzi Propulsion! This was one cool boat that set many records and won many races. In another part of this website I mention meeting a Harold Smith in 1979 from the Midland / Odessa area that said he heard I was interested in boats. He asked me what type of boat I had and I responded "a Youngblood". He then answered, "Yea, I know Jimmy Youngblood, he set the bassboat speed record at one of our races"! For a good while I thought he was telling me some long yarn. I later asked Jim about the "bass boat" and he said it was true.... and here it is!

YOUNGBLOOD VERSION WITH THE EXCEPTION OF
THE TX-18 TUNNEL WAS TESTED AND RACED WITH
A JACUZZI JET PUMP?

YES, IT IS TRUE, THE APOLLO, TX-19 CATHEDRAL
HULL, TX-19 TUNNEL AND THE TX-20 WERE ALL
RUN WITH A JACUZZI RACE PUMP.

THE FIRST OF EACH OF THESE HULLS WAS ALSO
WHITE GELCOAT. I BET YOU HAVE NOT EVEN
SEEN A YOUNGBLOOD TX-19 TUNNEL! YES, AT
LEAST ONE WAS PRODUCED. I SAW IT IN THE
BONEYARD IN 1979. MANTRA, CALIFORNIA
PERFORMANCE AND OTHERS MANUFACTURED
THE HULL FOR SALE. JIM WANTED TO BUILD
SOMETHING DIFFERENT AND CAME UP WITH
THE PICKLEFORK TUNNEL SERIES.
